The new 14,000 square feet (about 1,300 square metres) Challenger flagship store will officially open at Bugis Junction on May 1.

This outlet was built to replace the former flagship at Funan Digitalife Mall, which closed as the mall underwent redevelopment.

The new Challenger will have various thematic zones for nearly every gadget you can find under the sun, including a section dedicated to drone cameras, gaming gear and a Samsung VR station which looks like something you can experience at an arcade (this space used to be occupied by an arcade previously).

Gadget shopping on a budget? They have a whole host of items priced from S$2 onwards, so you can grab some cheap deals.

If you're looking for freebies, they also have a giveaway contest and an Instagram and FB promotion which requires you to upload a selfie with your purchases in exchange for a S$5 voucher.

Planning to head down over the weekend? You can find it at B1 where the flagship Virtualand Bugis arcade used to be.

Sadly, it seems like there is nary a semblance that an arcade was ever there.
