New mall in Tai Seng houses Michelin-starred franchises because why not right?

Truffle ramen and the cheapest michelin-star meal ever, anyone?

If Tai Seng sounds ulu to you, this new mall is here to change your impression of it to slightly less ulu.

18 Tai Seng will bring with it a bevy of well-loved restaurants, including Tsuta, Tim Ho Wan, and Hawker Chan (the guy who earned his Michelin Star selling Soya Chicken noodles in Chinatown). Yes, all Michelin-starred franchises that sent Singaporeans into a queue frenzy when they first hit the shores.

Their truffle ramen has inspired 2-hour long queues, despite having only variations of one item on its menu. The queues probably formed because hungry patrons want a taste of the first ramen to have received a Michelin Star.

How many Tim Ho Wans can Singapore accomodate? Not enough it seems since the franchise owner deems it feasible to open yet another Dim Sum restaurant in Singapore which already has many established players like Din Tai Fung and Crystal Jade.

Hawker Chan

Since its roaring success in Chinatown after receiving a Michelin star, this will be Hawker Chan's third outlet in Singapore. Perhaps this outlet won't have the epic lunchtime queues as the one in Chinatown.

Other less "starry" players

Other restaurants (Bakerzin - coming soon, Harry's Bar + Dining, Jalan Kayu The Prata Cafe etc.) and amenities like supermarkets and clinics are also available.

18 Tai Seng is located at, well, 18 Tai Seng, right opposite erm, Tai Seng MRT.
