By now, the stereotype of Samsung as the brand whose phones blow up is quite established.
Samsung has since taken measures to address these issues, and everything seems to be back on track.
But just when you thought smartphones were okay to be used again, out comes this video.
So my IPhone 7 plus blew up this morning ? was not even using it, literally no explanation for this pic.twitter.com/sQ8CJt4Y69

The Twitter user, who is from Tucson, Arizona, also showed the remnants of her iPhone, a 7 Plus in Rose Gold.
Some people completely freaked out.
Many who saw the video, experienced flashbacks to the smoking Samsung days.

Some gave super helpful advice
While others gave just the best advice to this new terror.
Hold your horses
But, before you start freaking out, chances are the fault might lie with the case itself.
One of the pictures she uploaded showed a case which appeared to possibly be one of those with liquid inside:
These same cases are widely considered responsible for some previous instances of severe chemical burns when their liquid leaked from them:
The Twitter user, however, denied she had a liquid case...
... her stance being that the bubbles seen in the photo were just a result of whatever chemical reaction or overheating had taken place.
Whatever the reason for the smoking phone, this appears to be the first time someone has ever recorded an instance of an iPhone burning up.
But one indisputable fact remains.
@briannaolivas_ i'm just saying, Nokias never had this problem but pic.twitter.com/F9s1cBcSoB
