Chestnut Nature Park is finally fully open.

It is Singapore's largest nature park and is made up of two areas: Chestnut Nature Park (South) and Chestnut Nature Park (North)

The northern portion of park is the latest to be opened on Feb. 25, 2017, while the southern portion opened earlier in 2016.

Situated next to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, the park is 81 hectares, about the same size as the 82-ha Singapore Botanic Gardens.

In total, the hiking trail is 5.6km, while the mountain biking trail is 8.2km. It has separate trails for bikers and hikers.

The park is the third of five buffer parks to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. Their purpose is to act as buffers to protect the reserves from the impact of urbanisation.

Hiking Trails

The total length of hiking trails in the entire nature park is 5.6 km.

The trail is slightly undulating with different experiences along the way.
