We all have days where we can't be bothered to lead a healthy lifestyle - it means we have to exercise more and giving up on good food.
But who says we can't have both - like frothy teh tarik while running, and finishing a race with crispy prata?
If that sounds like your cup of tea, check out the Teh Tarik run, happening at Apr. 9 at Kallang River Side Park.
According to the website, it's a 4 x 1km run, where participants drink one tik gong (those condensed milk cans) of teh tarik every 1km.
The 20 fastest runners will get chicken or mutton curry instead of just normal curry to go with their pratas, during the prata parade that happens afterwards.
All participants who manage to finish the race will get a special tik gong too.
If it sounds like fun, well, there's a good chance participants might end up spewing back whatever they've ate and drank - on their pristine, white shirt.
Even the organisers are pretty sure about that.
So you think you can run. Drink Teh then run, repeat a couple more sets? Put these uniform on, coz everyone's an apprentice for this event. Stain it all you want. Puke on it. Burp long and loud. We won't laugh. We will only do so if we know you’ve trained for this event.
If you're interested, the early bird registration fees are at $28, and after Feb 15, it's $35.
It's probably a little bit expensive for four teh tariks and prata, but winning Singapore's first ever Teh Tarik Run?
Sounds like a legend worthy to tell your grandkids.
