Driver allegedly punched policeman, flashed middle fingers, ran, got chased & arrested

He ran for 500 metres, proving IPPT 2.4km run is an important component of fitness test.

A man was involved in an accident in Woodlands on Monday morning, Jan. 9, after a grey Honda allegedly ran into the back of a lorry at the junction of Admiralty Road and Riverside Road.

The incident happened at about 10.23am.

While giving his statement to the traffic police, the driver of the car allegedly punched a policeman and then ran off.

The policemen gave chase and left their vehicles unattended on the road.

The man then allegedly turned around and flashed his middle fingers at officers as he ran away from them for about 500 metres.

The man slowed down and was subdued by the police.

Police investigations are ongoing.
