Remember Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Benjamin Cheah?

Together with his colleague, he made the news last year for saving a cat that was stuck in a tree for 2 days at Woodlands Avenue 9.

In case you can't see the post, here's Staff Sergeant Cheah and Corporal Mohammad Faidzul Bin Muslim:

Since then, SSgt Cheah has become a celebrity of sorts, appearing in the recent SPF roadshows.

But perhaps the best part about Cheah is his love for cats and their attraction towards him.

On Dec. 11, three very cute cats climbed onto the police car he was driving when he had to leave the car shortly.

Amused, Cheah decided to play with the cats, and posted a photo he took with the felines on his Facebook and Instagram.

Netizens and Cheah's friends alike were smitten and convinced that the policeman was a confirmed cat whisperer.

Though in times of peace, disturbance looms ever so slightly out of sight:

Officers like him are indeed, the heroes we need.
