Self-checkout have reduced manpower needs but consumers still have trouble scanning items, bagging groceries, and making payment efficiently.

Enter Amazon Go, a new concept store that is opening in Seattle in 2017 that has the tag line "Grab and Go". You literally enter the store, grab what you want, and walk out.

Don't believe it is achievable? Check out the Amazon's promo video on Amazon Go:

Amazon is using its "Just Walk Out" technology, which is a combination of sensor fusion, computer vision, and deep learning algorithm to allow the store to track the items you pick up and walk out with.

Will we see Amazon Go in Singapore?

News of Amazon's plan to expand to Southeast Asia through Singapore in early 2017 surfaced in November this year.

Technology news site TechCrunch said that Amazon was likely to debut its Prime delivery service alongside its AmazonFresh grocery service in Singapore.

Will we get to see Amazon Go in Singapore? Not in the near future it seems.

Amazon's Facebook page was inundated with questions on whether Amazon Go would be available elsewhere, but it seems the company is holding its cards pretty close to its chest on the service's developments and asking for feedback instead:
