So, Nanyang Technological University organised a design competition for their new matriculation card and the student body has been given until Nov. 7, 2016, to vote for the one they liked best.
Out of 500 entries, three were shortlisted for the vote:
And this is when things started to go the way of the US presidential election: People were refraining from voting because these are not real choices.
Better still: Mirroring the events currently unfolding in the US as Clinton and Trump duke it out, the parodying proper began.
Unhappy with how and why the three shortlisted designs were chosen, students organised themselves (like real students in tertiary education should, where they rally against injustice and totalitarian regimes) and came up with worse ones to highlight the plight and the abysmal state of affairs.

What better way to make a point than make the symbol of injustice into a matric card?
How about combining the best elements of the three shortlisted entries?
Or repeat the logo and name of the institution twice because they look so good?
