Thought Halloween was over already.

SMRT's Circle Line (CCL) failed Singaporeans once again this morning (November 2).

What started out as a signal fault quickly degenerated into a service disruption between Botanic Gardens and Marymount stations.

Commuters were stranded left, right and centre. Many reported that they could not move off the platform.

Uber's prices surge

Along came Uber to stranded commuters' rescue, but with a surge in booking prices.

What would usually be an Uber ride of around $20 quickly escalated to $46.

Jam on the CTE

To add to commuters misery, there appeared to be a jam on the CTE as well.

As of 10.27am, SMRT tweeted that train services on the CCL have resumed. Here's hoping the rest of the week won't be as nightmarish as this.
