In a fascinating Jakarta Post article on October 7, detailing the rituals of the Rongga tribe, there is something about the cover picture that might stand out to Singaporeans.

Don't see it? Here is a closer look.

Yup, that's an elderly member of the Rongga tribe in Indonesia, wearing our 2nd generation army uniform.

Now, we can't be sure of course, but we are going to assume that the tribesman is not Corporal Ng.

2nd Gen

The fact that the uniform is the second generation military uniform makes nailing down a timeframe rather tough.

The very first generation uniform, an all green ensemble, was used for around 16 years.

The next iteration, the one worn by corporal Ng, was used for a whopping 25 years, before being replaced with the current uniform.

So, it might be tough to pick out exactly which Corporal Ng this belongs to, but if you're reading this, you can go to the Rongga tribe to get your uniform back.
