Singapore Airlines has launched a special menu of Teochew dishes on Monday, Oct. 31, across all cabin classes for a four-month period.
It will be available on selected flights departing from Singapore, according to the airline.
Different classes will be served different types of food.
First Class and Suites could serve passengers cold crab, pig trotter jelly, steamed pomfret and or nee (yam paste).
Business Class passengers could be served Teochew porridge with braised duck and salted egg, bak chor mee and fried png kueh, a traditional Teochew glutinous rice cake, served with a sweet dark soy sauce.
Premium Economy Class and Economy Class passengers could be served braised duck on rice, with egg, beancurd and preserved vegetables, or stir-fried pork with shacha sauce on rice, with vegetables.
Previously, SIA introduced "Singapore Heritage Cuisine" for three months in 2015 to celebrate the Singapore's 50th birthday.
Peranakan dishes such as Nonya nasi lemak and ayam tempra were served to passengers.
