Photos and videos of rainbow swarmed the local social media when a huge double rainbow appeared in the Singapore skyline yesterday evening (September 30).
"Alas", Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Facebook, he "wasn’t there with my camera".
So what is the next best thing one could do in such a situation?
The responses from netizens were spontaneous and enthusiastic, with PM Lee's Facebook page receiving more than 400 rainbow photos within four hours.
Here is the pick of the lot:
Quite a few of them decided to pose with their rainbows.
One found a rainbow at night.
While another got really near to the rainbow.
A reader found his rainbow in PM Lee.
Others found theirs in religion.
Just in case it is a photo contest, one submitted four versions.
Others created their own.
Finally, someone decided to rain on our "Singapore is a shiny special red dot with rainbow" parade.
And the winner of the "Submit your Singapore rainbow" contest will get a pair of tickets to the National Day Parade Rally next year. Kidding.
