Singapore's biggest McLaren fan is such a fan, he & his wife named their son after 3 F1 drivers

His story will leave you with zero doubt of this.

It started with this Facebook comment on an Esso Singapore post:

Executive Azlin Sa'at noticed the social media competition, titled "Who is Singapore's biggest McLaren-Honda fan?" and knew straightaway her husband, 32-year-old IT engineer Muhammad Yasser Bin Abdul Razak, was made for it.

And she wasn't lying about what she said:

1. The couple named their first son after three McLaren drivers —

- Mika Häkkinen (the Mika)

- Lewis Hamilton (the "Ha")

- Kimi Räikkönen (the "qimy", which is pronounced the same as Kimi)

2. Their son's first birthday was an all-out themed McLaren/F1 party:

If the above doesn't show proof, we don't know what does.

3. And Yasser has been faithfully following nearly every F1 race since the late 1990s:

"Yes, every single race!" declares Aizlin.

"Of course I missed a few during the exam periods..." cuts in Yasser with a toothy grin.

"Dating time, he told me we MUST watch F1," his wife continues, overlapping him. "When we go out — after that or before, we gotta watch it at home!"

"With you, yes I never missed. But during the school days!" he insists.

What isn't doubted, though, is the fact that both of them have been at every single Singapore F1 night race since it debuted here in 2008.

And both of them will once again get to be at this weekend's F1 races, after receiving VIP access passes as part of the victory prize in the fan competition.

His biggest prize: two surprises

Those weren't the best parts of his prize for winning, though — the best parts undoubtedly were:

- Having a full-fledged F1 pit crew come out of nowhere to work on his car

He told us: "When I saw the pit crew come out I was like, augh, I don't know what to say! It was an experience I've always dreamed of... you know when I pump petrol I always have this vision, pit crews coming out with their lollipops telling me to stop, you know, once they are done, 'go!' that kind of thing, and it happened today! And I was so happy!"

But that was nothing compared to the second surprise, which was

- this guy showing up...

(Formula 1 McLaren-Honda driver Jenson Button lah.)

Which made him like this:

And then he of course had to do this:

And a subsequent such embrace resulted in such a rapid head-turn that we felt whiplash watching it play out:

That moment when you lean in for a hug with your heads facing the same direction...

After a nice chat, they took photos:

And he also got his iPhone signed — alongside a bunch of other Jenson Button and McLaren-Honda merchandise.

Azlin initially strung Yasser along by telling him he was driving to the station at 2:50pm in order to locate a clue in an Amazing Race-style trail, in a continuation to the Biggest Fan competition.

"It was difficult to keep this a surprise from him; I had to tell him a lot of white lies!" she told Mothership.sg. "I told him it was gonna be a so-called race today, and that we were going to different pit stops. He actually believed it," she added, laughing.

Her overwhelmed husband was wiping overjoyed tears from his eyes throughout the surprise.

"I can actually read her (Azlin), you know, so I was asking myself 'am I the winner for today??' then I told myself not to expect too much; if it doesn't happen you're going to be very disappointed. So I said okay, just brush it off... and I ended up sleepy before reaching (the petrol station)... and then suddenly all the pit crew came out and JENSON WAS HERE! OH MY GOD! IN TOA PAYOH!! I DIDN'T EXPECT IT!!"

His only regret: that his son wasn't with them to experience it.

"He loves cars but at two years old, he doesn't really understand what's happening," he said. "So maybe three years down the road I'll tell him what's happening to me, through all the photos and videos that's been recorded today!"

There's no doubt about it: Yasser is Singapore's biggest McLaren-Honda fan. And he makes no bones about his excitement.
