A bank in Singapore is boldly going where no telco has gone before: Give free WiFi to plebeians with no strings attached.

From Wednesday, July 20, 2016, OCBC will offer multiple free WiFi access across Singapore.

These areas include:

- Five areas in Orchard: Outside the Royal Thai Embassy, Tangs, Far East Plaza, Royal Plaza at Scotts and The Heeren, where Wi-Fi coverage extends up to a 100-metre radius from each of these hotspots.

- The Sports Hub, where 684 hotspots cover the entire complex, including the National Stadium, Indoor Stadium and Kallang Wave Mall.

- And the 33 OCBC bank branches.
