The Michelin Guide is known for handing out one to three stars to restaurants it deems exceptional.
That in turn draws in the crowds - like how Singaporeans queued when Tim Ho Wan (which has one Michelin star in Hong Kong) came to Singapore.
For years, Michelin has skipped Singapore and sent none of their reviewers here to see if the tiny red dot had star-worthy restaurants.
That is about to change.
Come July 21, they will be revealing a list of restaurants here that has earned stars.
But before that, they have released a list of Bib Gourmand winners which rewards establishments offering a high quality menu at a reasonable price - a maximum of $45.
Reasonable price. Maximum of $45. Bib not star. It is not known currently whether hawkers will be receiving Michelin stars on July 21.
Anyway, here's the list of winners of which 17 are found in traditional food centres while 14 are restaurants and 3 came under the 'other street food establishments' category:
