Disaster.

Saffron Sharpe is a fashion influencer with over 66,000 Instagram followers. She is also known for being in The New Paper's (TNP) New Face contest in 2013.

Her most recent stint appears to be working with Toggle for their new TV show, Double Trouble.

As part of her segment, Sharpe played "fashion police", and commented on some of the kooky things Singaporeans wore outside.

All without any of her 'fashion victims' seemingly aware that they were being mocked.

Here are some of the people she was commenting on, paired with the comments she made.

"Uncle, you're too old to be a minion, sorry."

"Chinese New Year was in February *tilts head and tuts* let's move on."

"Oh my god why are you wearing tights with your ankle boots? It's not like, I don't (unintelligible mumbling) my God no, so bad."

Followed by her signature catchphrase, disaster.

For some reason, people didn't seem to like the idea of an all knowing "fashion influencer" mocking passers-by, who were literally minding their own business, and acting like the definition of a schoolyard bully.

Some chastised the entire concept of the video

Others questioned the validity of the term fashion influencer

A Facebook user, Arun Daud, explained perfectly just how Sharpe's actions might genuinely affect her followers.

I have a younger teenage sister who looks up to her, insisting she buys the products Saffron is paid to endorse, but it would absolutely crush me if she ever makes a comment about other people's choice of look.

Fashion Influencer

So let's read a refreshing opinion from a legit fashion influencer who might have something to say about the effects of bullying.

“I was cyber-bullied a lot and some of the seniors in school called me thunder thighs and Manfron. I was really conscious of myself and what others thought of me."

And how those who judge others, are nothing but sheep.

"The opinion of sheep doesn’t matter because I’m living my own life and others’ insecurities shouldn’t bring me down,”

That very mature response was from a New Paper interview in 2013 with then upcoming fashion influencer and TNP New Face contestant, Saffron Sharpe.

Well said, Saffron Sharpe from 2013, maybe Saffron Sharpe from 2016 can learn a thing or two from you.
