Come visit us, please? (=^.^=)

You already know you want to — so we'll keep this brief.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), which recently moved to its new premises in Sungei Tengah, is holding an Open House on June 18 and 19 (this weekend).

Apart from the free popcorn and candy floss (and our furry friends, of course), here are some fun and exciting things to look forward to that we think will make a great day out for the family:

#1 Free pet health checks

The SPCA, in partnership with the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), will be offering complimentary health checks for your pets.

The health checks will be provided by licensed veterinarians from private clinics. All pets (except fish, sorry) are welcome - make an appointment here.

#2 Free in-house guided tours

Learn about what really goes on behind-the-scenes.

The SPCA's volunteers will be conducting exclusive 30-minute guided tours of its new premises from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Participants will get an insider's view of the centre's operations, as well as of the animals' lives before and after rescue.

Register on-site.

#3 Animal art exhibition

Artist Hazel will be showcasing some of her animal paintings in an exhibition titled New Life. According to SPCA, New Life expresses the human-animal bond and reflects the love, care and joy that human and animal gain from each other's companionship.

#4 Harley rides through the countryside

How often do city folks like us get the chance to explore Singapore's outskirts? For just $10, you can enjoy a ride through our scenic countryside on the back of a legendary Harley Davidson bike.

Totally GoPro-friendly.

#5 Air brush tattoos

Only $2 per tattoo, any animal you wish. 'nuff said.

Now it's your turn to show some love!

The SPCA is located at 50 Sungei Tengah Road. From Choa Chu Kang MRT, take bus service 975 from the bus stop opposite Lot 1, or board bus service 172 that comes from the adjacent bus interchange.
