Don't be lame.

An Instagram photo purportedly showing a pair of basketball courts hidden side-by-side somewhere in Singapore's enchanted forest has been making the rounds:

The original photo originally appeared on May 30, 2017, but was reshared by another page, singapore2020, on July 9, 2017, where it gained more traction.

As far as illusions and suspension of disbelief go, commenters were genuinely surprised that there are basketball courts in Singapore hidden from plain sight.

However, this is the reality, as shot from another drone that flew much higher over Depot Road, showing how close the road and other buildings are to the courts:

Sorry to break the illusion, but the basketball courts belong to ISS International School at 21 Preston Road.

And they are not anywhere near being overgrown and engulfed by trees.

What is clear is that the Instagram photo had undergone some touching up to extend the canopy cover on the top left hand corner.

And as grimy, gritty and worse for wear as the courts look from a vantage point of view, they are pretty much in use by international school students:

On closer inspection, it is possible to see how the touching up was executed:

The best part is, the basketball courts are diagonally across the road from the internationally-renowned The Interlace condominium.
