Fundraising bazaar for 94 Fernvale cats on July 9, 2017, at Neko no Niwa cat cafe

Proceeds will help ease the burden of rising medical and boarding fees.

You'd probably have heard of the 94 cats rescued from unsanitary, cramped conditions in a Fernvale Link flat on June 26.

While the breeder is being investigated for her irresponsible actions, there is still much to be done from the volunteer rescuers' side of things.

This is especially so as there are increasing costs to bear, with some of the cats requiring medical attention and hospitalisation.

All of them require sterilisation and indefinite boarding.

They can't be immediately adopted or fostered yet, as they need to be nursed back to health first before they can be rehomed.

A mini bazaar will thus be held to raise funds for the cats on Sunday, July 9, at cat cafe Neko no Niwa, from 12pm to 7pm.

Proceeds will go to the cats.

The following vendors will be at the bazaar, along with their merchandise:

Alfie De Meow - cat themed accessories

Can I donate something else?

Do note that the volunteers behind Saving The Siameses have already received bulk food sponsorship and they are on specific brands of food to ensure consistency and prevent stomach upsets.

Kibbles, water and litter are already included in the rental of catteries as well.

The volunteers have approached many distributors and pet retail stores to see if they can sponsor certain items, so that funds are channelled towards the rental of catteries, medical bills and necessary items.

Can't make it to the fundraising bazaar? You can make an online donation by sending a private message to the Saving the Siameses' Facebook page, or you can make a cash/ cheque donation, dropping them into the donation boxes on the event day itself.

The donations are properly accounted for, as there is an excel sheet which the volunteers are tabulating and will be published soon.

This will show the amount of funds collected, along with the list of kind donors.

Expenses would also be properly stated with all invoices and receipts.
