Woman starts HWZ forum thread exposing boyfriend's cheating ways, gets mercilessly shamed instead

No wonder some people are still BBFA.

A woman whose boyfriend, Mark, cheated on her with at least five other women took to the Hardwarezone forum to tell people about his deeds.

The post, which blurred out Mark's face and surname, urged forum users to "share this and let more girls whom you care for know what kind of cheaters and liars are out there."

The thread -- "Mark his name, A lying boyfriend cheating with more than 5 girls !!" -- started by a "mstrikesback" attracted many comments, but not what the woman expected.

But before we get into the abusive comments, here's mstrikesback's post:

The screenshots of the WhatsApp conversations between mstrikesback and women who dated Mark revealed that at least three of the women were intimate with him while Mark was attached to mstrikesback.

mstrikesback then said, "imagine you have a sister/close female friend/female cousin, do you small part by protecting them," and encouraged readers to share the post.

Backlash

Instead of empathy, comments were largely misogynistic, blaming the women for going out with Mark:

Many comments also somehow blamed the woman for apparently not going for "nice guys":

BBFA stands for "Bui bui forever alone" which is forum speak for people who can never find a girlfriend because he is fat and oftentimes socially awkward

Brother steps in to defend mstrikesback

Seeing the overwhelming amount of negative comments on mstrikesback's predicament, a person claiming to be her brother stepped in and defended her and said that she was not with Mark for his money, and in fact, Mark was not rich in the first place:

mstrikesback also updated her original post and explained why she was sharing her experience -- to prevent other girls from falling victim:

"These girls whom are trampled and being disrespected only wants a guy to love and spent their time with. Never to expect that they are faced with wolf in a sheep skin (a skilled one). Being unfaithful isn’t a criminal activity, girls can’t turn their sufferance to police force to request for justice to be upheld. All we could do is to remember his name and distance from such people who came to you with a ulterior intention.

Please share this and let more girls whom you care for know what kind of cheaters and liars are out there. Every share could potentially help an innocent soul from having to go through the pain and suffering of a heartbreak. Imagine you have a sister/close female friend/female cousin, do you small part by protecting them."
