You might have seen it by now — the extremely viral video of a young, smartly-dressed lady telling off an old man who wanted to share a table with her at a hawker centre in Toa Payoh.
And more importantly, the moment when her equally-smartly-dressed young male companion showed up and suddenly rammed him from behind, smashing him into the table.

After we wrote about it, a lady going by the name Janice Lim on Facebook commented on the post where we shared our first story on this incident.
Lim, who claimed she was at the scene, and also related her account of events to The Straits Times, left a series of comments on our post to shed more light on what happened in the video.
Because, as you would have noticed, the video doesn't show a whole lot in terms of what happened. So here's Lim's account of how it all went down.
First, the summary she provided:
And then she went on to relate what happened.
1) The old man was polite, said Lim:
2) The circumstances when the old man first arrived at the table with his food —
- Nobody was seated at the table, but an umbrella was placed on it to mark it "choped".
- Lim said when he asked nicely if he could sit down at the table, the woman said no, and allegedly started "spewing vulgarit(ies)" at him.
- The elderly man then asked why not, and how many of them required seats.
3) In response to a question about what happened after the young man slammed into him, here's what she said —
- An onlooker said "You should not have bang(ed) the old man".
- In response, Lim wrote that he allegedly pushed all the used plates and cups from the table onto the floor.
These events she recounted are not captured in the video.
4) Lim also said that after the other man intervened to convince the old man to sit somewhere else, nobody else joined the two of them at the table:
