They were arrested on Sunday, April 9.

A video of two male youngsters allegedly coercing secondary school students to make donations surfaced on social media and various chat groups last week.

In messages circulating with the video, the donation-collecting duo were alleged to have said they were from an advertising company collecting donations for charity to help ex-offenders.

But when the students refused to give money, they then claimed to be policemen and go on to search their bags.

The video that made the rounds online allegedly took place outside Punggol MRT station.

Anyone found guilty of an offence of impersonating a public servant may be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, and shall also be liable to fine.
