It was just another day at the Giant hypermarket in Tampines.
There were sisters buying food for their family steamboat that evening, makcik and pakcik doing the monthly household grocery run, the group of girls in charge of food for their class outing.
It was, until they got in line to pay, and Gold 905 FM deejay Jamie Yeo poked her head in, and stretched out her arm with a $50 note at its end.
"Let me get the bill for you," she says, and upon realising the lady spoke Chinese, clumsily rephrased herself.
Yeo and her colleagues Mike Kasem, Denise Tan, Vernetta Lopez and William Xavier showed up at the hypermart (you know, the one with the huge IKEA and Courts?), spontaneously paying for people's bills at the cashier counters.
There were surprised families...

And this group of classmates buying food for their class outing:
Nice. But the most moving encounter was had by deejay Mike Kasem, who paid the bill for this couple:
Kasem was pretty happy about it too:
:' )
Now of course, no good deed is perfect — some commenters pointed out the following points:
Nonetheless, great job guys — thank you for making these people's day :)
