Food delivery rider collides with car in Joo Chiat sparking debate who is at fault

Some say the rider was too fast, others say the driver didn't look out for incoming vehicles.

A motorcyclist, believed to be a food delivery rider, collided with a car at Joo Chiat at about 2.05pm on Jan. 15, causing him to be thrown off his bike.

A video of the accident was recorded and uploaded on Facebook later that night.

The female driver and another passenger immediately rendered assistance to the rider, who was conscious but injured and shocked.

In the comments section, there were a few that defended the motorcyclist, asking for others to empathise with the plight of food delivery riders:
