A dead body has been found at Changi Beach on Jan. 28 at 6pm by several members of the public.

Footage of the body being brought to shore was initially uploaded on Facebook with the purpose of alerting the deceased's family members.

It has since been removed and replaced with a censored photo of the deceased out of respect.

The caption accompanying the Facebook post is as follows:

We are witnessing a dead body at Changi Beach near carpark 6. Have already called the police.

Earlier, 2 guys approached me to ask if I saw something floating coz he felt it looked like a human arm. I then saw it, but couldn't confirm. Then, the 2 guys told a group of anglers to check. So they went and true, a dead man.

*i have removed the video in this post and replaced it with a filtered photo. The purpose of posting is to share if we could provide some help to alert family members or anyone who knows of a missing person.

In the video that was previously uploaded, two anglers were seen helping to move the deceased onto shore and respectfully laid him in the sand.

The unidentified man was wearing nothing but a pair of trunks or shorts.

The police have been contacted.

Last year, there were incidents of the public discovering bodies floating in the water.

On Aug. 7, a Pokemon Go player discovered a body of an old woman floating in Woodland Waterfront Jetty.
