A horrific multiple-vehicle accident involving a Mercedes occurred on Monday, Dec. 19, along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) towards Tuas at around 8am.

A video showing how the accident happened has been published on Facebook, showing the Mercedes driving against the flow of traffic and ramming into a motorcycle at high speed with no time for the rider to react:

The car recording the footage barely missed being hit, but the motorcycle travelling in front of it with a pillion rider was not so lucky.

Update: A 53-year-old male car driver has been arrested for causing death by rash act.
