It was probably these emotional canyons that book publisher, Penguin, wished to shine the spotlight on when it held a poll for Singaporean readers to choose their favourite quote.

So what emotionally devastating sentence did we choose?

Chicken nuggets.

Now we looked through Lang Leav's extensive bibliography, and not once in her melodramatic prose did she mention chicken nuggets.

Hoping to find something like this.

"Do you have chicken nuggets?" I ask.

In your hesitation I found my answer.”

But there was no such line.

The other chosen quotes are also not really related to Leav.
