Meet Kamal Effendi K.

He is an English teacher in Malaysia, and is married to his wife, Nik Idzni Dalila, who is a doctor.

Back to our own very day, fall harder for this girl since then.

They may seem like any other couple, but as anyone knowing the two would know, behind them lies a more poignant story.

Prior to their marriage, Idzni was already battling stage four cancer.

Despite objections from family and friends, who had voiced out concerns for the young couple's future, Kamal married Idzni and now fights the illness with her side by side, even accompanying her to London for treatment.

Coming all the way from Malaysia to scare the cancer away, we can do this sayang!

Kamal had also taken to Instagram, documenting their daunting time fighting cancer:

Married to this one with an intention of making her happy. She is a gift, a godsend blessing, my truest companion and my realest best friend. Taking care of her is my greatest pleasure, and simply, being married to her is my biggest achievement. Truly, it is a privilege to be loved by you.

Through thick and thin; wifey with quarter of her girls (she has many, too many, that genuinely love and care for her as much as I do).

"I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. And it's these things I'd believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn't all she should be. I love her and that's the beginning and end of everything." -- F. Scott Fitzgerald

One post even shows Kamal shopping for makeup for Idzni, so that she could have more time to rest.

Wifey's make up personal shopper for today since she is resting at home. Anything for my girl!

But of course, rough patches were inevitable, and the captions can sometimes get heavy-hearted:

I know I'll do everything that I could.

These days I found it so difficult to describe what exactly I feel. I hate it when feelings, any kind of feelings; becoming unrecognizable to myself and about all I want to do is sleep my mind away. I have days when I feel entirely hopeful, and I have days when I feel completely hopeless. I bow down, completely surrendering myself, asking, and begging with every molecule of my body, God please, please by all means make more time for us.

Nevertheless, the couple keeps fighting, and Kamal's words continue to move many others who follow their journey.

Everyone deserves to be happy, to live, and that include a cancer patient; my wife. Her illness does not define her and her self-worth. She deserves to be happy as much as anyone, even when it means falling in love at the risk of an uncertain ending in her love story. I see my wife beyond that, beyond her pain and illness. She is attractive with her undying spirit to live and she is beautiful with her amazing soul. I feel her raw emotions when she speaks goodness of others – of how her eyes light up with pure sincerity when she tells me tales about her life and people that matter. I feel her genuine warmth with the way she describes her life goals – she is the prettiest among any girls I’ve known of. I would marry her, for her characters, for her soul – I thought. One of the couple's followers online was so moved, she tweeted screenshots of Kamal's Instagram posts with an apt caption: "True love stories never have endings", which has since gone viral, with 9.1k retweets as of date.
