Currently trending on the App Store is a mobile game app, Heng Heng.

Released on Oct. 18 last week, it was specially developed in Singapore for the Teochew Festival 2016, which will be back from Dec. 9 to 18 this year.

The simple game play is to teach users about traditional Teochew kueh.

But the real catch is that high scorers of the game will stand to win real prizes.

The highest weekly score will win Teochew Festival entry tickets and a Lenovo Tab3 7 Essential (worth S$149).

The top 10 players will be invited to the Teochew Festival where they will walk away with other attractive prizes, including a Lenovo Yoga 900 tablet worth S$1,999 and an SK Jewellery gift set worth S$2,388.

First held in 2014 in Ngee Ann City, the Teochew Festival is organised by the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan.

It is to highlight the culture of Singapore's second-largest sub-group of Chinese, where 20 percent of Singapore's Chinese population is Teochew.

The second Teochew Festival will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre Level 1 Hall A from Dec. 9 to 18.

One of the highlights of the 10-day festival is the showcase of Teochew cuisine, such as Bak Kut Teh, Crystal Dumplings, Fried Kway Teow and Fried Oyster Omelette. A food street will comprise 20 vendors, including homegrown eateries and vendors from Shantou and Chaozhou, China.

Admission is S$10 per ticket.
