The X Factor Australia kicked off its eight season on Oct. 3, 2016.

The three judges are American Idol 8's Adam Lambert, rapper Iggy Azalea and the first Australian Idol winner, Guy Sebastian.

The preview of the first episode has been made available for viewing, and one of the contestants is a 15-year-old teenager, Natalie Ong.

Natalie is from Melbourne and was the first act to perform. Her grandmother from Singapore had gone over to support her. (A Reddit post said Natalie is Singaporean.)

She sang Christina Aguilera's The Voice Within and totally killed it:

According to online postings about the judges breakdown of Natalie's performance: Guy said she’s amazing and the family must be high-fiving and jumping around. Iggy said she thinks Natalie could win and people will watch this again after she makes it big. Adam said she nailed 99.99 percent of the song, but that she needs to make something her own next time as her style was very similar to the original version.

Natalie is into the next round as it was three yeses from the judges, nonetheless.
