Remember Fu Yuan Hui, the Chinese swimmer with her animated expressions so candid and adorable, it charmed the entire internet off its feet?
Her lovable antics made her an overnight sensation, garnering her 2.7 million followers on her Weibo account in just a single day.
In a recent interview with China's CCTV sports broadcast channel, the 100m backstroke bronze medalist gave us an insight into her personality and why she has no qualms about being unbridled with her feelings on and off camera.

"I feel that it's all good since they (her teammates) are keeping the cool and poise."
"As for me, I was very happy. I was just so happy. I was just so happy, so why can't I express myself?"
"Who says we have smile without teeth when we take photos? There are no regulations for that!"
She is Fu Yuan Hui. This is how life is like.
"I heard that there was a music fountain. I really wanted to go, but I didn't know where it was, and I can't speak English. I have a companion who could ask in English where it is, but did not know the word for 'music fountain'."
"So we went to a counter, and after my friend asked in English 'where is the', I said 'MUSIC! Bew bew bew bew!' and they knew what I was talking about!"
"It doesn't matter if you can't say music fountain in English. You just have to go "ding ding dong dong, pew pew pew pew, and they will understand for sure!!"
She is Fu Yuan Hui. This is how she encourages herself.
"I'M COMPETING SOON!! I CAN DO IT!! YEAH YEAH!!"
