Aqil Eizzat was like any of Selena Gomez's over 88.6 million Instagram fans, uploading pictures and video of his idol on various social media accounts.

That all changed when he mastered the art of photoshop.

The pictures on his Instagram page started off rather crudely, with this poorly photoshopped picture of him and Selena with his parents at his graduation.

But even then, Aqil wasn't deterred, instead blaming the stray hand on ghosts.

"ADA HANTU!" roughly translating to 'There are ghosts!'.

His dedication was evident in this later post of him and Selena walking along the streets of Terengganu.

Their relationship is now a seemingly fun one. Selena, according to Eizzat's Instagram post, apparently goaded him into engaging in a bit of playful carpool Karaoke while on the way back home.

Time apart

Like all couples, Selena and Aqil, or Seleqil, understand the importance of some alone time. Here is Aqil in ghost form encouraging normal Aqil .

And the incredibly apt caption.

Sometimes all you have to do is to remind yourself that you're doing all that you can and that everything is going to turn out alright.

In the end, all you have is yourself.

Serious stuff

While there's no question he does the funny extremely well, there is no doubting his editing prowess either. Take a look at this rather cinematic 2 parter.

We are sure it is this combination of talent and wit that Gomez fell for. We wish them all the happiness in the world.
