So sweet! Literally.

Love conquers all. Even if it means planning to sell 10,000 Brazilian Brigadeiro (chocolate fudge balls) at R$1 (SG$0.38) each to buy a ticket to Singapore.

Brazilian Miquéias A. W. Rohr, 29, met Singaporean Rebecca Ang, 25, when they were both studying in Australia three years ago.

They were separated when Rohr had returned to Brazil in 2014.

But you know how love goes. Rohr then figured to raise money by selling the Brazilian candy in a campaign called "Operation Rebecca: a love rescue" to come to Singapore to marry Ang. He sold the candy at church and work.

According to two articles in Brazil (here & here), he did not manage to sell 10,000 brigadeiros, but he did raise R$8,000 (approx. SG$3,000) with some help from his brother.

He even started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to buy tickets for his parents to come to Singapore. Unfortunately, that campaign was not a success.

He did, however, use Facebook Live video to stream the couple's ROM signing on April 20.

OMY.sg also reported that their story made it into the Brazilian media and that they are currently in South Korea for their honeymoon:

Congratulations to the couple!
