A man in Yishun has won over TikTokers for showing kindness to a community cat who followed him home.

In a clip posted to TikTok by user @patikorn1, the cat was seen following the user's father back to their flat where he provided it with food and water.

Cat appears to be attached to TikToker's father

The video opens with the cat taking the lift with the user and his father, and the user saying the cat "cannot always be pampered".

The cat is then seen in their flat eating some kibble from a tray.

Meanwhile, the user's father fills up a cup with water from the kitchen's tap, which he then pours into the tray for the cat.

At this point, the user can be heard suggesting to his father, "You might as well feed him abalone."

Afterwards, the cat can be seen patiently waiting for the user's father to open the flat's gate, much to the user's amusement.

"Pa so what, eat finish he want to zao (leave) already ah?" the user laughs.

As the father lets the cat out into the lobby and closes their gate, the user is then heard telling his father, "He (the cat) cannot press the lift himself."

The user's father decides to guide the cat towards the stairs, to which the cat displays some impressive obedience.

Right on cue, the cat promptly follows the man towards the staircase when he opens the door leading towards to it and says, "come here."

The cat then appears to follow the user's father into the stairway.

The user added in the comments that his father escorted the cat all the way down to the first floor.

Cat supposedly does not show him the same affection

Many users praised the user's father for his kindness to the cat.

The user also joked that the cat is more attached to his parents than him, as it does not show him the same level of affection.

In addition, his mother also appears to have had a positive reaction to the cat.

And the significance of where this is taking place does not appear to be lost on the user.
