She is the first artiste to have won the award four times.

Xiang Yun also clinched the Best Supporting Actress trophy on the same night.

Made special dedication to son Chen Xi

Xiang Yun started her speech by sharing her belief that "people become great because of their dreams."

As she grew older, she realised that there are still dreams to be had at every year and age.

She then thanked everyone who had helped her to achieve her dreams over the years, from the CEO of Mediacorp to the make-up crew.

Xiang Yun went on to add that her award today was a particularly special one, because she wanted to dedicate it to her son, Chen Xi.

She explained: "Because this will be his (Chen's) final year in Mediacorp. He will be going overseas to chase his dreams."

Directing her speech at her son, she added:

"So, as a mum, I wanted to use this award to encourage you, and wish you all the best in following your dreams to greater heights."

In response, Chen, 31, looked touched, and put his hands over his heart in a show of appreciation.
