A 37-year-old Malaysian female motorcyclist passed away after an accident at the Tuas Second Link on Apr. 11 evening.

She was working in Singapore for more than 10 years as a semiconductor operator, and was returning to Johor when the accident happened.

Her family in Malaysia is appealing for any witnesses with dashcam footage to come forward.

The accident

Sooriya Narayana Moorthy Rao, the victim's brother-in-law, told Mothership that the accident likely took place between 8.40pm and 9.30pm.

He heard that a car or van had filtered from the second lane to the third lane without signalling, which led to the collision.

Subsequently, another motorcycle allegedly ran over the victim after she fell.

Sin Mah Bike Towing, a motorcycle towing company, also shared about the accident in a Facebook post on Apr. 11.

It added that the female rider was in a coma after the accident.

Sooriya shared that the victim was pronounced dead when the ambulance arrived from Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru.

Her body was then conveyed to the mortuary by a police truck.

Family seeking witnesses with dashcam footage

Following the accident, Sooriya put up a post on Apr. 12, requesting any witnesses with dashcam footage of the incident to contact him.

Later in the day, he posted an obituary for his sister-in-law on Facebook.

Sooriya told Mothership that his family has not received any footage of the incident yet.
