The Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that the teenager caught humping a cat in Bukit Panjang has been arrested.

The police said they received a report on Apr. 11, 2023, at 12:10 am regarding an alleged case of obscene act along Senja Road.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The obscene act

On Apr. 8, at around 1:51 am, a teenager was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) assaulting a cat outside an HDB flat in Bukit Panjang.

The cat's owner Ismul told Mothership that the CCTV footage was forwarded to him by his neighbour.

He then posted the video on his Instagram Story, hoping to seek justice for his cat.

In the video, the teenager could be seen pulling down his pants and humping the cat's behind.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Singapore (SPCA) said in a statement that it has reported the matter to the relevant authorities and have reached out to the cat's owner to offer support.

The Cat Welfare Society stressed that it is a pet owner's responsibility to ensure the safety of their pets.
