Engineers on site for recovery operations
According to a Facebook post by SMRT, engineers are already on site to conduct recovery operations.
SMRT confirmed that a signalling system fault had occurred between Marina Bay Station/Dhoby Ghaut station and Paya Lebar station on the Circle Line at about 12:40pm today.
While train services are available, commuters are advised to "cater additional travelling time or take alternative modes of transport".
SMRT added that it will continue to work with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Signalling Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to enhance the system. It apologised for the delay for Friday's commute.
