If you've been having your fan or air-conditioner constantly switched on recently, prepare to continue doing so for the rest of the month.
Singapore's warm weather will persist for the rest of April according to the Meteorological Service of Singapore (MSS)'s Apr. 17 advisory.
Singaporeans can expect the weather to be warm, with the daily maximum temperature possibly reaching 34°C in the afternoon on most days.
On days with lesser cloud cover, the daily maximum temperature could reach a high of about 35°C.
Sweltering heat but umbrellas needed
Nevertheless, rain is also expected. For the rest of April, inter-monsoon conditions are forecast to continue.
Low-level winds are forecast to be light and variable in direction on most days.
Short duration thundery showers on most days are expected as land areas receive strong daytime heating.
On several days, these showers may extend into the evening.
As Sumatra squalls develop over the Strait of Malacca and move toward Singapore, there may be widespread thundery showers and gusty winds in the pre-dawn and morning.
For the second half of April, MSS states to expect near average rainfall.
The total rainfall for the month is likely to be below average for most parts of Singapore as well.
