K-pop stars PSY and Rain headlined Marquee on Saturday night, Apr. 8, 2023.

While many partygoers enjoyed seeing them in action, some felt shortchanged by the short set.

20 mins performance

On Apr. 9, TikTok user Xena (@_notxena) posted a 28-second video of Psy performing his hit song, "Gangnam Style".

However, the caption wrote:

"for those who didn't go, don't worry. I spent 100 dollars for #rain and #psy to only perform 2 songs per person. practically a scam."

She also took to the comments to elaborate more on her expectations.

What the issue was about

The entire issue can be summarised as: Marquee was marking its fourth anniversary from Apr. 6 to 8, and hired two performers, but some who attended expected more bang for their buck.

Those who felt shortchanged thought they could at least get a 30-minute set from each performer.

On the other hand, those who disagreed said S$100 to gain entry into Marquee to club and see performers for a short while was already a steal.

Some commenters shared the sentiment that the performances were too short.
