Motorcyclist, 30, dies after Holland Road accident involving 89-year-old car driver

A car and motorcycle collided at the junction between Jalan Jelita and Holland Road.

A 30-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in an accident between a car and motorcycle at the junction of Holland Road and Jalan Jelita on Thursday (Apr. 13).

An 89-year-old man was arrested for careless driving causing death.

Responding to queries from Mothership, the police said that they were alerted to the accident at 6:45pm.

Footage of the accident has been posted to Facebook.

In the video, an ambulance can be seen stopped at a bus stop, with at least thre paramedics attending to a man on the ground.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) stated that they conveyed two people to the National University Hospital (NUH).

The police said that the motorcyclist was conveyed unconscious to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

A 30-year-old female pillion rider was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
