Almost a month after bagging Best Actress at the 95th Academy Awards, Michelle Yeoh has returned to her hometown in Ipoh, Malaysia with a man in tow: Mr O.
Mr O isn't a real man, but the nickname she gave her Oscar trophy.
The Malaysian actress won the award for her performance in "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once".
Dedicated to parents
In an Instagram post from Apr. 12, Yeoh posted a photo series including one of her mother, Janet Yeoh, beaming as she held onto the trophy.
The second photo shows Yeoh holding up her shiny gold statuette with her father's tombstone in the backdrop.
Yeoh's father, Yeoh Kian Teik, died in 2014 at the age of 89.
He was the founder of the express bus service Sri Maju.
In her caption, she said that she wouldn't be here today "without her parents (sic) love and trust and support".
Was in Malaysia for Qing Ming
According to The Star, it is understood that Yeoh was in Malaysia for a few days for Qing Ming festival which took place on Apr. 5.
She flew off to Hong Kong days later.
