Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 feels different nowadays after its beloved McDonald's outlet closed down in January 2020.

Fret not, as Changi Airport just dropped a surprise for us.

In a Facebook post dated Apr. 7, the airport teased the return of the McDonald’s outlet with a few pictures of the hoarding.

They did not reveal the opening date of the outlet or the exact unit number, though some netizens have pointed out that it could be at the same location as before.

It will be located at the arrival hall of the terminal.

Previous outlet closed due to renovations

The original McDonald's outlet at Terminal 2 ceased operations after 16 years to make way for renovations.

When it announced its closure, many netizens expressed their sadness and chimed in with the fond memories made at the fast food restaurant.

The newly-revamped Terminal 2 recommenced operations in October 2022 to support post-pandemic travel recovery.

Guess we know where to go the next time we head there.
