A 25-year-old man was arrested in the city of Jodhpur in India, after he stalked and flashed a South Korean vlogger — and the incident went viral.
The woman, 28, posted the incident on her vlog, where it subsequently came to the notice of the authorities.
Background
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place on Apr. 17.
The accused, identified as Deepak, had allegedly been stalking the woman for some time. He had earlier spotted her alone.
She was recording a vlog when Deepak made his way in front of her, blocking the way.
As she walked past him, he dropped his trousers and flashed her.
He then followed her, grinning, as she ran away and shouted for help.
Virality and arrest
The vlogger later posted the video of the incident on social media, where it quickly went viral.
In response, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) wrote a letter to Rajasthan's chief minister, Ashok Gehlot, urging him to take action.
Just came across this video of a Korean vlogger who posted a video of her being sexually harassed in Jodhpur. This is extremely disgusting and shameful. People like these are spoiling the image of our great country. Am writing to Shri @AshokGehlot51 to take strongest action! pic.twitter.com/8vfjblcizx

Upon seeing the video, the police took action and arrested Deepak.
A police officer told Times of India that the accused is a resident of a nearby locality who is "mentally sick and keeps roaming around".
He had been wandering around the area when he spotted the woman and began following her, the officer said.
He added: "We have arrested him for disturbing the peace as no complaint has been made by the tourist about the incident."
