A body belonging to a woman was discovered in an abandoned bus stop in Kulai, Johor.
Director of the Kulai Police District, Zhuo Mingyao, said on Apr. 12, the police received a report from a man at around 1:50pm.
The man, who was an official of the Kulai City Council, had gone into the bus shelter's canteen at around noon to conduct a routine inspection when he discovered the body inside, reported Oriental Daily.
The bus stop is located in front of Kulai Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Team of the Kulai Police District and the Forensic Division of the Criminal Investigation Team of the Johor State Police Headquarters were dispatched to collect evidence and begin investigations.

Zhuo said that onsite police had a hard time identifying the body at first.
"After the police arrived at the scene, they found that the body was severely decomposed to a degree of about 50 per cent, and there were maggots on the body, so it was difficult to identify the gender, age and time of death of the deceased."
On Apr. 13, an autopsy carried out at Johor Bahru General Hospital between 11am and 2:30pm revealed that the deceased was a female over the age of 25 who had been dead for over two weeks.
According to Zhuo, there was scarring on the subcutaneous tissue of the head.
The cause of death has yet to be confirmed, but police are investigating it as a murder case
Police are appealing to the public to assist with investigations.
