Eating out, you never know what you'll find in your food.

Sometimes it's a hair, sometimes it's a gold chain.

Thankfully for one Andy Tan, it was the latter.

Hidden treasure in noodles

In a Facebook post uploaded on Apr. 1, Tan flaunted his rare find while eating noodles.

Raising the chopsticks in his hand, he displayed a mouthful of fried noodles.

But something seemed a little off with the noodles.

Closer inspection revealed bling sneakily woven between the fried noodles.

It was either really gross or really lucky.

Tan's face was covered with a crying-laughing emoji, which probably matched his real expression to the T.

Time to visit the pawn shop.

People are jelly

Tan's haul sparked envy among his Facebook friends.

"Where did you buy it? I want to buy it too wakakakak."

Another user noted the irony in Tan's shirt.

"Even the shirt says its based on a true story."

One person said it reminded them of cheesy proposals: "I feel like he got a ring in the nasi goreng."

How the chain got into the noodle remains a mystery, but its serendipitous discovery remains testament to the "beauty of life".
