A video of an axe-wielding man approaching police officers at a traffic junction has been circulating on social media.
The man, who was involved in a fight, was subsequently arrested. Another man was conveyed to the hospital.
Man approached police
A YouTube video posted on Apr. 11 showed two police officers emerging from their parked vehicle at the traffic junction along Stamford Road.
The clip, recorded from a passing car's dashcam, then showed a man wielding an axe crossing the traffic junction.
As he approached the two officers, they drew their weapons.

The man then flung the axe on the ground and raised his hands in surrender.

The trio remained locked in a standoff for the next minute, before the traffic light turned green and the driver behind the dashcam drove off.
Arrested
In response to Mothership's queries, police revealed that the axe-wielding man was involved in a fight as well.
Police were alerted to the fight along Stamford Road at around 2:28am.
The 25-year-old man was subsequently arrested for possession of offensive weapon, using criminal force to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty and using abusive language against a public servant.
A 71-year-old man was conveyed conscious to the hospital, and a 29-year-old man is assisting with investigations.
An axe was also seized.
Police investigations are ongoing.
