Filling drinks with roadside pipe water
In a series of photos posted on Twitter, a man could be seen filling a plastic container with water from a roadside pipe.

He then brought the pail of water to his stall, where containers of flavoured drinks (air balang) were lined up in a row.

He proceeded to pour the pipe water into the containers of flavoured drinks.

Public outcry
At the time of writing, the tweet exposing the man's actions has supposedly been viewed 975.1k times. It is unclear where the incident took place, or when it occurred.
Many expressed outrage towards the man's actions.
One Twitter user said this was why her mother doesn't like purchasing air balang, and refused to let the family consume them.

Other users said this was why they don't consume drinks from bazaars.

Safe for consumption?
According to Malay Mail, The National Water Service Commission (SPAN) announced that it is safe to consume Malaysia's water directly from the tap in 2018.
However, many Malaysians are apprehensive about doing so, The Star reported.
