A massive jam occurred at the Tuas Second Link on the Malaysian side on Tuesday night, March 14 -- the fourth day of the March 2023 school holidays.

The jam was so bad that traffic came to a standstill, allowing occupants in the vehicles returning from Johor Bahru to Singapore to get out and stand on and walk around the road.

According to a video posted by a motorist stuck in the jam, the wait was five hours long.

The motorist was stuck since 7pm and only cleared customs after midnight.

Comments on the various videos consisted of at least one reply by a fellow commuter who got stuck for seven hours.

One other commuter posted a two-word caption that read: "System down."

According to a comment, the queue started to move at around 11:45pm.

Another commenter remarked that this issue of getting stuck and having the flow of traffic resume again after midnight was not new.

Some commenters said it was due to a system maintenance, but there is no word from the authorities that this was confirmed.
